GRIFFIN WARD – LET’S GET BACK TO BASICS

Thank you to the may residents that have approached me over the last six months urging me to run again in Griffin Ward.

As you know this has been a difficult decision for my family and myself.

However, there are times when you need to put your community’s needs ahead of your own and this is indeed one of those times.

I am pleased to announce that I will be your candidate in Griffin Ward.

Although I am a proud member of the Liberal Party, the Party do not endorse candidates in Council elections and I will be running this campaign fully funded by myself and my family.  If you can assist in any way this would be greatly appreciated.

Unlike my Greens party opponent I will not be beholden to a Party machine which he receives funding and support from.

The threat of a fortnightly garbage collection with a smaller bin is top of the Greens agenda.

We have seen the massive blowout of the Ivanhoe Library budget.

From an estimated $18 million dollars in 2016 to almost $40 million dollars today, in four short years, under the mismanagement of the Greens Councillor from Rosanna.  The Greens love taxing you higher and spending your money.

In four years the rates have increased 8.75%, the highest in Victoria, compared to a CPI rise of 5.4%.

This includes a recent rate rise in the middle of this global pandemic.  Truly heartless.

Griffin Ward needs to get back to basics.

We need lower rates.

We need regular street cleaning.

We need better footpaths.

I look forward to delivering these to you after the 24th October

Thank you Griffin Ward
