I am pleased to advise that Banyule Council has received advice from the Planning Minister, The Hon. Matthew Guy MP that interim planning controls for the Ivanhoe Structure Plan have been approved.
This will result in more certainty when Council or VCAT considers planning applications in this area.
I wish to thank the many residents that contributed to this process and especially those that volunteered their time to work with Council on the Ivanhoe Structure Plan community consultative committee.
Council is currently awaiting the formal letter from the Minister.
This completes a commitment I gave prior to last year’s Council election to achieve interim controls for the Ivanhoe Structure plan area within 12 months of my re-election.
